A number of constituents have written to me and asked if I
am able to attend an event in Parliament and meet representatives from the
Disability Benefits Consortium (DBC) on 16 July.
This reception will launch the latest report from the
Consortium - 'The impact of welfare changes on disabled people'. The DBC is a
national coalition of over 80 different charities and other organisations
committed to working towards a fair benefits system.
This is an area that is of interest to me, and I will
endeavour to attend this reception, Parliamentary business allowing, and look
forward to finding out more about this important issue.
