A number of constituents have written to me asking me amongst other to
support the Kyle Wilson amendment. This amendment sought to lay the way for a 2nd
Referendum on the decision to leave the EU – the so called confirmatory vote.
AS I have made clear many times – this is not something I can support. I
will never vote for or support anything that seeks to undermine the result of
the 2016 referendum and that includes any suggestion of further referendums.
What will do more to support our democracy and the UK is to ensure we
leave the EU and all attempts to overturn the will of the majority who voted to
leave will never have my support.
