A number of
constituents have written to me about the introduction of audio visual (AV)
announcements on buses.
As a member of
the Transport Committee I have been delighted to see this technology in place
on the many new buses and trains that have recently come into service locally
and whilst welcoming this there is a need to see more done.
Retro fitting
AV to existing fleets might prove difficult but it must be considered as a
further and basic aid to some of the most vulnerable in our society. I will be
raising this issues with Ministers when I next see them.
