Further to my earlier correspondence from a number of
constituents, I now received a reply the Minister at the Department of Health
about postnatal healthcare for mothers.
I have included the reply below:
I hope you will agree the reply is positive in as much as
the concerns that you and others have raised are being fed into the ongoing
confidential negotiations on the GMC Contract.
I was also pleased to see reaffirmation from the Minister
that postnatal health continues to be a priority for this Government, with
specific measures being taken to improve it.
